Duplex Pipes

Duplex pipes means one pipe inserted in another pipe. The outer pipe deals with environment and inner pipe deals with the transported material. Duplex 2205 Pipes

Properties

Duplex 2205 stainless is a dual-phase stainless steel whose grain structure is about 45% ferritic and 55% austenitic, hence the name "duplex". With twice the mechanical strength and corrosion resistance of common austenitics, alloy 2205 offers some advantages over 316L and 317L:

* Lower coefficient of thermal expansion and a higher thermal conductivity
* Resists chloride stress corrosion cracking
* Pitting and crevice corrosion resistance
* Excellent choice for high chloride environments
* Lower cost than high alloyed austenitics
